Immediate opening: we are hiring a sausage maker in Fairbanks North Star Borough, Alaska. You will work at a busy retail butcher's shop. Day-to-day duties: • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking What we are looking for: • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day 2+ years on the tools preferred.
