Join our team: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Washington County, North Carolina. The job is on a busy residential building site. What we are looking for: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing Day-to-day duties: • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules Full-time, day shift.
