Immediate opening: crawler crane operator (South Dakota)

Join our team: we are hiring a crawler crane operator in Lawrence County, South Dakota. You will work at a precast concrete yard. Day-to-day duties: • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground • Fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins Requirements: • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • A good head for heights for tower crane work • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging Full-time, day shift.
