Vacancy available: we are hiring a CO2 welder in City of Alexandria, Virginia. You will be based at a steel fabrication workshop. The role involves: • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs Ideal candidate: • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
