Lifting rigger — Presque Isle County

Join our team: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Presque Isle County, Michigan. Your main tasks: • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings Ideal candidate: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket 3+ years on the tools preferred. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
