Now hiring: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Crowley County, Colorado. Day-to-day duties: • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers Ideal candidate: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. $4,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
