Vertical transportation technician wanted in Smith County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a vertical transportation technician in Smith County, Kansas. The job is at a busy lift company. On a typical shift you will carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes; set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear; fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork; mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators; measure rope tension and check for broken strands. Ideal candidate: • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways 2+ years on the tools preferred.
