Great opportunity: we are hiring a cnc lathe setter in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. You will work at an auto-components manufacturing unit. What we are looking for: • Working knowledge of G-code and M-code • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection The role involves: • Adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish • Run first-off inspection and sign off the part • Run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles • Check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet • Write and edit G-code programs at the control Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. We offer £2,850 per month plus benefits. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
