Lawn care technician — Albemarle County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a lawn care technician in Albemarle County, Virginia. You will mow and edge lawns with petrol and ride-on mowers; prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers; dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds; plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings; maintain compost heaps and the potting shed; operate strimmers, leaf blowers and brush cutters. What we are looking for: • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage • An eye for detail and a tidy, well-kept finish 4+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $4,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
