Panel welder wanted in Emmet County

Join our team: we are hiring a panel welder in Emmet County, Michigan. You will work at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. Your main tasks: • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs Ideal candidate: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. $4,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
