What we are looking for: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory On a typical shift you will check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics. $4,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
