Refrigeration and AC mechanic — Macon County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a refrigeration and AC mechanic in Macon County, Georgia. The job is in a commercial cold storage facility. The role involves read suction and discharge pressures on the manifold gauges; measure the compressor motor's amperage draw with a clamp meter; wire up thermostats, contactors and overload relays; install and commission cold rooms, walk-in freezers and display cabinets; fault-find control boards and defrost timers; pull a vacuum on the system and check for trapped moisture. Requirements: • Physically fit to lift compressors and carry ladders • Own a set of hand tools and a gauge manifold • Willing to work at heights and inside cold rooms Full-time with occasional weekends.
