Sausage maker — Craven County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a sausage maker in Craven County, North Carolina. The job is in a meat processing plant. On a typical shift you will run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; season and marinate meat on request; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts. Ideal candidate: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate Part-time with flexible hours. Performance bonus on top of base pay.
