Argon arc welder wanted in Coventry

Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Coventry, England. You will work in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. Your main tasks: • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush Requirements: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols 3+ years on the tools preferred.
