Foundry labourer wanted in Wood County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Wood County, West Virginia. You will be based in a non-ferrous casting shop. Day-to-day duties: • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes Requirements: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Rotating shifts.
