Join our team: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Wharton County, Texas. You will work in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. The role involves weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion. Ideal candidate: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
