Vacancy available: we are hiring a bricklayer in Pierce County, Wisconsin. The job is on a scaffolded high-rise site. Day-to-day duties: • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings Ideal candidate: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Full-time with occasional weekends.
