Join our team: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Darlington County, South Carolina. Your main tasks: • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat Requirements: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
