Immediate opening: foundry operative (New Hampshire)

Now hiring: we are hiring a foundry operative in Hillsborough County, New Hampshire. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Requirements: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling The role involves: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
