VMC operator • City of Suffolk, Virginia

Great opportunity: we are hiring a VMC operator in City of Suffolk, Virginia. You will be based at a fabrication and machining plant. Day-to-day duties: • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors • Keep in-process inspection records and log production counts • Carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance Ideal candidate: • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • Willing to work rotating shifts and night shift Part-time with flexible hours.
