Heavy equipment operator — Brighton and Hove

Immediate opening: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in Brighton and Hove, England. Requirements: • Valid heavy equipment / plant operator licence • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise • Able to operate excavator, loader and dozer confidently On the job you will handle: • Top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects • Load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket • Work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals • Break rock and concrete with the hydraulic breaker attachment • Level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines • Check for underground cables and services before digging Full-time with occasional weekends.
