Gtaw welder — Floyd County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Floyd County, Virginia. You will work in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. On the job you will handle: • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper What we are looking for: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
