Brick mason — Polk County

Join our team: we are hiring a brick mason in Polk County, Florida. On the job you will handle: • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts Ideal candidate: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets 6+ years on the tools preferred.
