Bricklayer wanted in City and Borough of Birmingham

Now hiring: we are hiring a bricklayer in City and Borough of Birmingham, England. The job is at a renovation and extension job. On a typical shift you will laying bricks to the line, level and plumb; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel. You should have: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one Six days a week, one day off. Pay around £120 per day, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
