Aluminium tig welder wanted in Bland County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Bland County, Virginia. On the job you will handle: • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion Requirements: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
