D6/D8 dozer operator — City of Fredericksburg

Great opportunity: we are hiring a D6/D8 dozer operator in City of Fredericksburg, Virginia. On a typical shift you will form embankments and batter slopes to the required angle; clear land of trees, stumps and debris before earthworks begin; backfill trenches and foundations once services are laid; carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil; grease pins and bushes and check undercarriage tension daily. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and uneven terrain • Safety awareness around banksmen, trucks and other plant 3+ years on the tools preferred.
