Finishing presser wanted in Anchorage Municipality

Join our team: we are hiring a finishing presser in Anchorage Municipality, Alaska. You will work at a textile finishing unit. On a typical shift you will check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments; give each garment a final press before packing; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press. You should have: • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine Part-time with flexible hours.
