Vacancy available: we are hiring a garment machinist in Limestone County, Alabama. The job is on a ready-made garment production line. Requirements: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus You will change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching.
