Lift technician — Chatham County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a lift technician in Chatham County, North Carolina. You will work in a machine room on the rooftop. On a typical shift you will carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes; service the traction motor, brake and gearbox; install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway; fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments; rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables; set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear. What we are looking for: • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. $4,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
