Day-to-day duties: • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Give each garment a final press before packing • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents Ideal candidate: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine 4+ years on the tools preferred.
