Urgent requirement: we are hiring a meat cutter in Shelby County, Iowa. Day-to-day duties: • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case What we are looking for: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
