Banksman — City of Roanoke

Vacancy available: we are hiring a banksman in City of Roanoke, Virginia. The role involves set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; guide loads through tight openings into their final position. What we are looking for: • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather 1+ years on the tools preferred.
