Now hiring: we are hiring a stone mason in City of Salem, Virginia. The job is on a residential building site. What we are looking for: • Good eye for joints, levels and overall finish • Confident operating a bridge saw, angle grinder and diamond blades Day-to-day duties: • Lay marble tiles and slabs on floors, stairs and walls with adhesive mortar • Fill cracks, chips and open veins with colour-matched epoxy resin • Polish stone surfaces to a high gloss using diamond pads and polishing compound • Grind and hone uneven floors flat before the final polish • Restore old marble by honing, crystallising and buffing back to finish Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
