We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon welder in Texas County, Oklahoma. The job is at a precision engineering workshop. You should have: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height The role involves: • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode Six days a week, one day off.
