Trowel-trade bricklayer • DeKalb County, Illinois

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in DeKalb County, Illinois. You will work on a new-build development. What we are looking for: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage The role involves: • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays We offer $17 per hour plus benefits.
