Immediate opening: horticulturist (Missouri)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a horticulturist in Vernon County, Missouri. You will be based at a private estate garden. What we are looking for: • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance • Physically fit for bending, lifting and long hours outdoors Day to day you will check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads; repot nursery stock and pot on cuttings; sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades; cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs; prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers; spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease. $140 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
