Great opportunity: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Macon County, Georgia. You will be based on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. You should have: • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) The role involves: • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers Full-time, day shift.
