HSE officer • Union Parish, Louisiana

Vacancy available: we are hiring a HSE officer in Union Parish, Louisiana. Day-to-day duties: • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date • Enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates You should have: • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations Full-time with occasional weekends.
