Join our team: we are hiring a head butcher in Leelanau County, Michigan. You will be based at a halal meat counter. Your main tasks: • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Season and marinate meat on request • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings Ideal candidate: • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
