Join our team: we are hiring a dogger in Yadkin County, North Carolina. The job is on an offshore oil and gas platform. The role involves select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks. Requirements: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
