Requirements: • Understanding of safe digging near underground services • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise Day-to-day duties: • Excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels • Break rock and concrete with the hydraulic breaker attachment • Work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals • Read site drawings and follow the batter and slope profiles • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations • Keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines 3+ years on the tools preferred.
