Requirements: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling On the job you will handle: • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers Part-time with flexible hours.
