Vacancy available: we are hiring a bricklayer in Fairfax County, Virginia. You will work on a scaffolded high-rise site. Ideal candidate: • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage The role involves installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints.
