Argon arc welder — City of Richmond

Now hiring: we are hiring an argon arc welder in City of Richmond, Virginia. The job is at an automotive body and exhaust shop. What we are looking for: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding The role involves feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding. Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $2,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
