Now hiring: we are hiring a crane rigger in City of Hopewell, Virginia. The job is on a high-rise building site. The role involves coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists. Ideal candidate: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
