Ladle pourer wanted in Runnels County

Now hiring: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Runnels County, Texas. You will work at a busy iron foundry. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling The role involves inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes.
