Cnc turning machinist • Putnam County, New York

Immediate opening: we are hiring a cnc turning machinist in Putnam County, New York. You will be based at an auto-components manufacturing unit. What we are looking for: • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection • Able to hold tolerances to ±0.01 mm On a typical shift you will watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes; run first-off inspection and sign off the part; write and edit G-code programs at the control; run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles; set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets.
