Urgent requirement: moulder (Texas)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a moulder in Navarro County, Texas. You will be based in a non-ferrous casting shop. The role involves cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges. You should have: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards 6+ years on the tools preferred. $23 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
