Foundry labourer wanted in Berks County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Berks County, Pennsylvania. You will be based in the fettling and dressing shop. Day to day you will pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings. What we are looking for: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. $24 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
