Join our team: steel fixer (North Carolina)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a steel fixer in Swain County, North Carolina. You will be based at a precast concrete yard. The role involves: • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers Requirements: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $3,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
